I want to live in a small town but it also has to have a bookstore, a fancy coffee shop, at least three good restaurants, and an indie movie theater all within walking distance.
👀 Peep this: what if we legislated a consumer’s right to pay with cash?
Here are the legislative examples from jurisdictions in the US:
Philadelphia - Regulation 8 - Cash payments in retail establishments
San Francisco - Acceptance of cash by brick-and-mortar businesses
New Jersey - An Act concerning payments by consumers
Massachusetts - Discrimination against cash buyers
Maryland - Cash transactions preservation act
Federal - Payment Choice Act
BTW, even Amazon Go brick-and-mortar stores accept cash now to avoid “discrimination and elitism.”
👻 Last week, I was a bit of a party pooper on that last minute Rogers-Shaw announcement.
